The Kysucky marathon is the second oldest marathon in Slovakia, it is included in the Slovak running league and, due to its importance, it ranks among the most important sporting and social events of the city of Čadca and the whole of region Kysuce. A large number of marathon runners from Slovakia, as well as from abroad, participate in the Kysucké marathon. As part of the event, a half-marathon, a marathon relay and a mini-marathon for children are traditionally run.
